The Future of Green Concrete in Civil Infrastructure

Concrete is the cornerstone of modern civil engineering, but its production is also a primary source of carbon emissions. Today, new technologies are changing that. Carbon-infused concrete is showing superior strength metrics while locking up carbon emissions forever.

Why Carbon Curing Matters

By injecting CO2 during concrete mixing, a chemical reaction occurs that creates calcium carbonate. This mineralizes the carbon, locking it in place and increasing the concrete's compressive strength. This means projects require less cement volume to achieve equivalent safety thresholds.

Marion Construction is actively testing these green concrete blends in ongoing civil applications, keeping sustainability at the center of our development values.
